For more than 30 years, 311 has stood as a beacon of innovation in the modern rock scene,
maintaining their original lineup while continuously evolving their sound. Originating from
Omaha, Nebraska, the band—comprised of Nick Hexum (vocals, guitar), SA Martinez (vocals,
turntables), Chad Sexton (drums), P-Nut (bass), and Tim Mahoney (lead guitar)—has become a
fixture in the global music landscape, known for their dynamic fusion of rock, reggae, funk, and
rap. With a career spanning over three decades, 311’s music remains as vital and fresh as ever,
reflecting their unwavering dedication to their craft and their fans. 311 has sold over 10 million
albums, achieved over 1.5 billion streams globally, and landed 10 consecutive Top 10 charting
albums. Across their 13 albums, they have earned 5X Platinum and 6X Gold certifications. They
are the creators of “311 Day,” a multi-day immersive concert experience that takes place bi-
annually on March 11th. Additionally, they host the 311 Cruise, which has sold out within 24
hours of going on sale for seven consecutive cruises. Their latest single, "You're Gonna Get It,"
is the band’s highest-charting radio single in 13 years, currently sitting at #15 on US alternative
radio.
As 311 enters their fourth decade as a band, they show no signs of slowing down. With a new
album on the horizon and an ambitious touring schedule that will take them to new and familiar
territories, the band continues to push forward with the same passion and drive that has defined
their career. Their music, constantly evolving and refining, remains as vital and relevant as ever,
offering a refreshing and compelling take on modern rock.
311’s legacy is one of innovation, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. With over 30
years of music-making under their belt, they have cemented their place as one of the most
influential and enduring bands in modern rock. And as they continue to tour the world and
release new music, 311 remains a powerful and inspiring force in the global music scene.
Los Angeles, CA (February 13, 2025) – Sitting on Saturn have returned with their new single, “Rose Colored Glasses,” featuring G. Love, via SKP, in support of the band’s U.S. tour currently underway and in anticipation of tomorrow’s holiday. The song radiates positivity and doesn’t shy away from knowing exactly what it is: a song about the early stages of romantic infatuation and the inescapable feelings that accompany it.
Sitting on Saturn, formerly known as Sitting on Stacy, is a high-energy band hailing from Southern California. Blending genres, the band – vocalist/guitarist Hoyt Yeatman, bassist Kyle Hart and drummer Trevor Smith – has created a sound that helped them quickly amass over 300,000 followers on social media and win over a dedicated fan base that likes to let loose at live shows.

Speaking on the song’s themes, the band’s Hoyt Yeatman says “This song is about that crazy in love feeling when you’re just starting a relationship. You love everything about them, you’re optimistic about your future together, and you overlook all flaws (if there are any, but you’re so head-over-heels you just don’t care), you can’t eat or sleep, all you do is think about them and want to be together. You’re seeing them through rose colored glasses.”

Continuing on, “When you’re in this state there’s kinda two sides to how you feel - you feel romantic but you also can’t keep your hands off each other so we tried to put both sides of that in the song. We recorded the song at our home studio and wrote the song in between shows on tour. While we were touring with Sublime we met G. Love who was also opening and fell in love with his music. After a show in Atlanta backstage we showed him the song and he liked it and recorded a rap part a few days later at his studio. We all loved it. It was super spontaneous and such a cool collaboration.”
Sitting on Saturn have toured extensively with Sublime with Rome and have done shows with Dirty Heads and Expendables. The band are currently touring with Artikal Sound System throughout the southern half of the U.S., before making their way up to the Pacific Northwest. In late March they will then join 311 for select dates on their ‘Road to 311 Day,’ and then will perform on the annual 311 Caribbean Cruise aboard the Norwegian Gem. All dates below.
